Dereck Oliver scored his 1,000th point but Edmondson came back from a double-digit deficit in the second half to hand Patterson its first league loss, 55-49.
Oliver’s 1,000th point in the first quarter and on the next possession hit a 3-pointer to put the Clippers (8-2, 3-1 Baltimore City) up 21-12. Oliver scored 18 of his game-high 29 points in the first half, which Patterson led 33-27.
The Clippers pushed the lead to as many as 10 points in the third quarter, but Edmondson used a 17-6 run to grab a 44-43 lead. The game went back and forth before Edmondson built a late 6-point lead. The game was called with 45 seconds left due to fan disturbance.
Oliver finished 9 of 19 from the floor and made six 3-pointers. Gary Blackston added 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and eight steals for Patterson. Koran Moore had three points and six rebounds and Richard Hibbert had three points, two rebounds and two assists.
The JV dropped to 5-3 with a loss to Edmondson.
