Four players scored in double figures as Patterson defeated W.E.B. DuBois, 69-12, on Monday night.
The Clippers (3-0) led 24-0 after the first quarter and went into halftime up 45-7. Senior Dereck Oliver led all scorers with 18 points. He also added three assists and four steals.
Senior Demetrich Williams finished with 13 points and three rebounds; sophomore Koran Moore had 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals; and senior Gary Blackston had 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists and three steals.
Patterson out-rebounded DuBois 37-9 and forced 23 turnovers. The Clippers held DuBois to just 4 of 17 (23.5 percent) from the field.
Sophomore Earl Ross added six points and six rebounds for Patterson. Sophomore Christion Adams had fourpoints, eight rebounds and three steals; and junior Richard Hibbert had four points, three steals and two assists.
Patterson’s J.V. team moved to 3-0 with a 73-18 win over DuBois. Isaiah Clemons had 18 points, Tyrell Williams had 10 points and Daquan Heath had nine points.
The Clippers are back in action on Friday when they host Lake Clifton. J.V. is at 3:45 p.m. and varsity tips at 5:15 p.m.
