All five starters scored in double figures to lead Patterson to an 83-56 victory over McKinley Tech in the championship game of the Spartan Holiday Classic at Laurel High School.
Dawan Bass led the Clippers (9-0) with a career high 25 points and 19 rebounds. He finished 10 of 16 from the field and added two blocked shots and an assist. Bass helped Patterson to a plus-12 rebounding advantage over McKinley Tech, which defeated Reservoir in the semifinals of the tournament.
Rysheed Corbin scored 18 points and added five rebounds, an assist and four steals. Dereck Oliver scored 13 points and dished out five assists. He also chipped in three rebounds. Kwynten Brooks had 11 points, three rebounds and three assists and Fortune Okigweh notched his first double double with 10 points, 12 rebounds and two blocked shots.
The game was temporarily delayed at the end of the third quarter when a dunk from Emerson Atkins left a crack in the backboard. Atkins finished with three points and two rebounds.
Patterson returns to action on Friday when it travels to Dunbar.
