Patterson used a strong defensive effort and balanced scoring to cruise on Friday night past Bluford Drew Jemison, 70-28.
The Clippers (4-0) forced BDJ into 32 turnovers and held it to 24 percent shooting from the field. It is the second time in four games this season that Patterson has held its opponent to 30 or fewer points.
Rysheed Corbin led the team in scoring for the third game this season, finishing with 18 points. He also chipped in team highs in rebounds (eight), assists (five) and steals (four). On the season, Corbin is averaging 21.8 points, four rebounds, three assists and five steals.
Dereck Oliver chipped in 11 points, four steals, three assists and three rebounds. Dawan Bass finished with 13 points and four rebounds.
Patterson also got solid contributions from Kwynten Brooks, who had eight points, three assists and three steals. Desmond Brown had his best game this season with eight points, six rebounds and two blocked shots. Emerson Atkins chipped in seven rebounds.
