Patterson Basketball donates more than $1,000 to fight cancer

Thanks to fan support at the Bernie Eckert Holiday Classic last week and additional donations from the school community and alumni, Patterson basketball is proud to donate $1,013 to the American Cancer Society.

A portion of every admission fee to the Holiday Classic went to the American Cancer Society through the Coaches vs. Cancer program. Money was also collected during halftime of the four games through contests.

The week before, members of the basketball team went around the school and their neighborhoods to collect donations. Patterson’s alumni dating back more than five decades also contributed donations. The names of those who donated are on our “Wall of Hope” in the gym.

Thank you to all who came out for the Bernie Eckert Holiday Classic and all who contributed donations. Every little bit helps!
