Patterson led from start to finish, enabling a running clock in the second quarter and cruising to a 65-25 victory over KASA.
The Clippers (2-1) came out strong after Saturday’s loss, leading 23-6 after the first quarter and 45-12 at halftime. The held KASA to 26 percent shooting from the field and forced 38 turnovers (28 steals).
Senior guard Anthony Dandridge led Patterson in scoring, finishing with 12 points and adding five rebounds. Ten players scored for the Clippers, who shot 38 percent from the field but had their best outing at the free-throw line, knocking down 14 of 18 shots.
Junior guard Kwynten Brooks had 10 points, four assists, three rebounds and six steals; sophomore guard Dereck Oliver had seven points, four assists and four steals; sophomore guard Tyquan Pointer had nine points; junior forward Michael Straham had six points and four rebounds; and senior guard Devante Conyers had four points, four assists, four rebounds and eight steals.
Freshman center Desmond Brown, making his first career start, had two points, six rebounds, two steals and three blocked shots.
Patterson is back in action at home against NAF on Thursday. The JV game begins at 3:45 p.m. and the varsity game begins at 5:30 p.m.
