Patterson opened its season Monday night with a 100-76 victory over Coolidge (D.C.) at the Spark in the Park.
Aquille Carr led all scorers with 26 points. Myrek Lee-Fowlkes had 21 points and 12 rebounds and senior Shakir Brown added 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists and six steals.
Patterson did not make a field goal until nearly midway through the first quarter, but the scoring pace picked up significantly from there. The Clippers led 43-27 at halftime and used a 16-0 run in the third quarter to put the game away for good.
Anthony Lee made a layup in the dying seconds to put Patterson at the century mark.
The Clippers are back in action Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Lake Clifton against Theodore Roosevelt (D.C.).
